Using the “Becoming Para Ready” framework developed by the Steadward Centre for Personal & Physical Achievement, Athletics Canada is developing a national Para Athletics strategy that will focus on building a strong foundation at the Provincial and Territorial level, creating greater capacity, supporting and aligning Para Athletics, and will include integration and inclusion at all levels.

Connection 2021 - This year's Paralympian Search for Women goes virtual! If you are a woman age 16 or over, with a disability and with or without previous sport experience and an interest in getting involved in para sport this virtual seminar is for you! Connection 2021 will be held in two half day sessions on June 5 and 6, 2021 from 12:30 to 5 PM each day. Nathan participated in the USA Paralympic Swim Meet in Dallas, Texas last week. He had a great swim meet. This was his first International Meet and he won the Gold medal in the 200 metre free style. ParasportNL is very proud of what this young swimmer has accomplished. Well done Nate!!
On August 25, 2019 para athletes and Bicycle Newfoundland and Labrador volunteers teamed up to enter three para teams in the 2019 Paradise Triathlon. They won first, second and third place in the new para team category. The athletes would like to thank the triathlon committee and volunteers for being so welcoming and making the triathlon such an enjoyable event, as well as the Bicycle NL volunteers who make it all possible. Congratulations everyone!
Gavin Noble, Athletics and Hayley Redmond, Boccia and Sailing, recently received Scholarships from SportNL. These awards are given based on Academic and Athletic Achievements. Congratulations Gavin and Hayley!!!
